Inspire International

Summary

Inspire International works to equip Christian leaders, churches and organizations in the Indian subcontinent to serve indigenous Christians as well as unreached peoples. We aim to make the scriptures readily available and accessible, and work to strengthen local leaders to plant new churches among indigenous peoples. We teach adults how to read and write, uplift the poor, and provide children access to education. Inspire International is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the Indian subcontinent.

Operation World suggests that India currently has over 71 million Christians, comprising 5.8% of the Indian population. India's culture is overtly spiritual and her people are therefore open to the spread of the gospel--and there are yet a multitude of unreached people groups. Christians are still a minority and therefore face opposition in certain areas, particularly in North India.

We believe that abundant life is the inheritance given to each person who accepts Jesus Christ into his or her heart.

Mission statement

Inspire International uses the following to express its mission:

We create caring communities of faith that teach the Word of God, promote literacy, alleviate poverty and bring hope.

Statement of faith

Inspire International uses the following to express its Statement of Faith:

We believe that the bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the Word of God revealing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe in one God, Creator of all, who reveals God's self as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, in his virgin birth and sinless life. We believe in his miracles, his teachings and his power over all evil. His sacrifice on the cross paid for our sin and his bodily resurrection is the promise of victory even over death. He ascended to heaven and is the true head of the Church. We believe Jesus is returning soon in power and glory. We believe the Holy Spirit is God's presence among his people. The Holy Spirit comes to establish obedience to Jesus in our hearts. The Spirit gives gifts to the Church to live as a godly community.

We believe in the resurrection of all people; those who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved and Jesus will judge the rest. We believe in the Church, where all children of God are created equal, irrespective of caste, gender, race or class.

Additionally, we take on humanitarian projects on an as-needed basis (religious conflict refugees, flood victims, etc.)
