Mission statement

To win the children and young people of the world to Christ and help nurture them into spiritual maturity through Bible courses and into local churches. This is accomplished through direct ministry and by multiplying our efforts through key partnerships and the Body of Christ around the world.

Statement of faith

We believe in... 1 The scriptures, Old and New Testament, fully inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings, the supreme authority. 2 One holy, and almighty God, eternally existent in three coequal Persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 3 The fall of man and his consequent moral depravity. 4 Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God and Son of Man, virgin born, Himself very God, and His death on the Cross of Calvary as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. 5 The bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. 6 Salvation by grace, a free gift of God, through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. 7 The imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ. 8 The resurrection of the dead, the believer to life everlasting and the unbeliever to eternal condemnation. 9 The reality and personality of Satan. 10 The lost condition of all people, and therefore our solemn responsibility to preach the Gospel to every creature. 11 A practical, seperated Christian walk, in an overcoming, victorious life, provided on a basis of faith in Christ's redemptive work. 12 The Church, consisting of all born again believers, the Body and Bride of Christ, represented in local congregations.

History

In 1965, George & Laura Eager began The Mailbox Club as a follow-up ministry to children reached through his assembly programs in rural schools in the Southeast. This wonderful school ministry spanned over 50 years touching the lives of over 1.3 million children and youth! But God had bigger plans and the ministry spread across the country as others saw the value of discipling children and young people through Bible correspondence courses. John Mark Eager joined TMC in 1990 to help a ministry partner develop a discipleship program for children in Eastern Europe using TMC Bible lessons. But again, God had bigger plans. Last year, God expanded the ministry to 90 countries, with over 3.9 million students enrolled, mostly children! Today, the majority of our lessons are not distributed to children through the mail, but rather children are discipled by mentors in small in schools, clubs, and churches.
