The Rescue Mission is a non-profit that provides for the basic needs: food, shelter, clothing, and emotional/spiritual support during times of unexpected emergencies. All services are free to the recipients. We assist people who have no place to turn and find themselves homeless. In addition to providing food, shelter, clothing, and showers, the Rescue Mission helps people in need of emotional support and spiritual support by providing volunteer opportunities, encouragement, and time for people to gain confidence, direction, and a foundation to get back on their feet. Anyone who is needing help is welcome to come and eat meals, shop for free clothing at The Clothing Room, get prayer and encouragement at the chapel, or stay overnight in a fresh, clean bed.

We serve the less fortunate through donations from individuals, churches, civic organizations and merchants. We neither solicit or require government support. We work to fill the hole in the soul as we provide for the holes in people's stomachs. Hunger, homelessness and poverty are the symptoms.

Mission statement

We demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to the homeless of our city through addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

The Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission remains the only shelter in the City that offers Christian guidance, provides emergency food and lodging services 24 hours every day, uses no tax dollars, and seeks to re-assimilate the less fortunate into productive society.

Program accomplishments

We so much appreciate our donors that help the Mission provide food, shelter, clothing, spiritual guidance and life skills mentoring 365 days a year to so many people facing big challenges in their lives. We are only able to do this because of God and our faithful donors. We receive no tax dollars to operate, so please consider becoming one of our recurring financial donors, or to making a one-time donation. We can provide receipts for tax deductions upon request.
