Mission statement

The Chinese Christian Mission, Inc. ("CCM") uses the following to express its mission:

"Reaching the Chinese to reach the World"

Statement of faith

CCM uses the followingto express its Statement of Faith:

We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspire Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in the one, true and living God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father, the Creator, Ruler and Sustained of heaven and earth and everything therein.

We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross and shed His blood as an atonement for the sins of men, and was raised bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High. He now is our High Priest and Advocate. We believe in His imminent return according to His promise.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, who is of one substance, equal in power, and co-existent with the Father and the Son. His ministry is to convict men, regenerate the believing sinners, and to indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believers for godly living and service.

We believe that man was created in the image and the likeness of God, but in Adam all men have fallen into sin, and as sinners men cannot save themselves, but are in need of God's salvation.

We believe that penitent sinners are regenerated solely by God's grace and justified through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just to eternal life, and of the unjust to eternal punishment.

We believe that the church is one body, consisting of those regenerated by the Spirit of God and of which Christ is the Head, expressing itself in worship, fellowship, evangelism and service.

History

Chinese Christian Mission was established in October 1961 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Their vision is to pool together the strength of Chinese churches and Christians all over the world so that through various channels they may reach their kinsmen with the good news that God loves the world. There are 1.2 billion Chinese in China and over 70 million Chinese overseas. For every five people or three non-believers in the world, there is one Chinese.

Program accomplishments

CCM's accomplishments and programs include some of the following:

Missions by Literature:
The free magazines published by CCM include Chinese Today, Proclaim (both in Chinese) and Challenger (English). Chinese Today is a monthly journal. Other than the U.S.A. edition, it is also published in Taiwan and Singapore editions. The combined monthly circulation exceeds 250,000 and distribution covers more than 70 countries and districts. It enjoys the reputation of "the silent missionary". Proclaim is a bimonthly publication catered to Christians. It promotes missions and spiritual growth. Challenger is a bimonthly publication for Chinese Americans and other interested English-speaking churches and readers.

Missions by Audio-Visual:
The Audio Visual ministry includes the production of evangelistic and mission-oriented slides and videos for use by churches, fellowship groups and individuals. "Performing Artists' Light" is composed of brothers and sisters from various churches in the San Francisco Bay Area, who put on evangelistic performances including the skits series "Chinese Drama" and singing. They also participate in radio broadcast and video production.

Foreign Mission:
Missionaries and various short-term mission teams have been sent to two overseas mission districts. They labor in church planting and training in mission fields.

1. Southeast Asia: Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines

2. Latin America: Costa Rica, Belize, Panama

3. Israel

4. South Africa

5. Europe

All other Chinese populated areas are in mission field development consideration.

Home Mission:
CCM Gospel Center in San Francisco Chinatown provides an array of services such as short-term mission training, crusades, evangelistic meetings for different target groups and Bible studies for believers, office workers, youth and seniors . In the Gospel Center, there is a resource section which provides videos, cassettee tapes and books churches and individuals use for evangelism and discipleship purpose. In the beginning of 1997, CCM has established CCM Seattle Gospel Center in Seattle. Home missions ministries were started.

Missions to Mainland China:
CCM has ongoing evangelistic and nurturing ministries to people in Mainland China through broadcasting. Broadcasting to Mainland China is kept at the frequency of nine times a week. China Broadcasting production stations have just been established in San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle.

Needs

CCM's finances depend entirely on the support of various churches and individual believers as they are moved by the Lord.
