Summary

Students for Life of America (SFLA) is one of the nation's most active pro-life organizations and the largest youth pro-life organization. We are the only national pro-life organization dedicated to training and equipping college, high school, medical, and law school students. Our approach is uniquely effective, and the methods we have developed are a combination of time-tested techniques and cutting-edge technology. Students for Life has been called to combat this anti-life culture. We resist the notion that women need abortion. We resist the abortion industry's constant claim, circulating like a broken record, that women aren't strong enough to embrace both their children and their education. And we resist the idea that women's rights involve forcibly taking someone else's away. Young people are the key to changing culture, and we must invest in them now to abolish abortion. There are thousands of babies dying and women being wounded at the hands of the abortion industry daily. This violence, injustice, and inhumanity is what the Pro-Life Generation is fighting tirelessly to end.

Purpose

Students for Life exists to transform culture by helping young people make abortion unthinkable and obsolete on their campus, in their community, and in our nation. Belong, Believe, Behave is Students for Life's three-step approach to fueling the momentum of the Pro-Life Generation. Our effectiveness comes by connecting with young leaders and providing the opportunity for life-changing experiences that will forever shape their worldview. This is the proven evangelism strategy for forming the Pro-Life Generation into principled and prepared leaders who will drive our Pro-Life Movement to victory.

History

Students for Life of America began as a true student organization called American Collegians for Life in 1988. It remained so and grew steadily until 2006 when it launched as a full-time 501c-3 organization, changed its name to Students for Life of America, and hired Kristan Hawkins as president. What started out as a handful of full-time staff working with less than 100 pro-life student groups has blossomed into a massive pro-life organization that employs over 50 part and full-time staff and works with over 1,240 student groups.

Program accomplishments

Nearly $90 million in earned media value. 245 campus visits with tour displays. A pro-life Times Square billboard that reached an estimated one million New Yorkers. SFLA trained our 100,000th student. Launched a 501c4 organization, Students for Life Action. Documented having over 17,000 conversations about abortion on college campuses. Had over 36.5 million views on Facebook.
