Purpose

Our vision is that through various channels and media, our ministry can help Chinese believers grow in the Lord, renew their spiritual lives, and help the church renew.

Mission statement

By preaching and analyzing God's words, God's children can understand the meaning of life and God's intentions for themselves, so that their lives will be renewed and life reformed.

Statement of faith

1. We believe that the entire Bible is a complete and unerring revelation of God and the highest authority in our faith and life.

2. We believe in the one true God of the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have the same honor and glory.

3. Man is created by God. Everyone who fell into a sinner in Adam needs God's salvation. Repentant sinners rely on God's grace to be reborn, and are justified by faith in Jesus Christ, and receive the promised eternal life.

4. Jesus Christ is a perfect God and a perfect man, born of the virgin Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit. He died on the cross, shed blood for atonement, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, in God the Father Intercession for all the saints on the right.

5. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune God. The work of the Holy Spirit is to convict and regenerate people, lead us into various truths, and empower people to live a holy life and bear witness to the Lord.

6. The repentant believer who turns to God has a new life separated from sin. He wants to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, live out the glory of Christ, and preach the Lord's gospel.

7. Jesus will personally return according to His promise to judge the living and the dead.

History

CRM started out in 1971 as the Christian Chinese Translation Center with main emphasis in translating Christian literature into Chinese. Over the years, services were expanded into other areas. To reflect this broadening scope of ministry, the present name was adopted in January 1986.

In December 1987, an independent CRM Board was established in Taiwan to promote CRM ministries on that populous island. And in January 1988, a CRM branch office opened in Hong Kong. During 1992 a CRM branch was opened in Singapore, in 1996 a branch opened in Malaysia.

Program accomplishments

CRM's accomplishments and programs include some of the following:

Literature Ministries:
CRM continues to publish Chinese translation of Christian books on a variety of topics including: Christian growth, apologetics, evangelism, theology, and Hermeneutics. In addition, CRM publishes Adult Sunday School Materials, Bible Study Guides, Gospel Pamphlets, Study Bibles, etc.. A major work, the New Testament portion of the New International Version (NIV) Study Bible began its first printing in 1991. The complete NIV Study Bible had its first publishing in November of 1996. Since 1978, the Renewal Journal, a monthly publication, has been sent to Chinese Christians around the world upon request. The purpose of the Journal is to encourage and motivate readers to follow and serve the Lord as well as providing information about CRM ministries. Its monthly circulation in North America exceeds 9,000.

Pulpit Ministry:
Ministry to churches, Bible study groups, retreats, fellowship groups, etc.

Discipleship Training (DT) and seminars:
Using "Equipping the Saints", material published by CRM, DT uses the principle of spiritual multiplication in training disciples to bear fruit for God and thus accomplish the Great Commission of Christ. Seminars on various topics are also conducted to assist church leaders in their personal growth as well as equipping others for Christian service.
