We do this by providing tasty, nutritious meals for the body, a clean bed for the night, and a message of hope in Jesus Christ for the soul. We also offer programs for those seeking biblical life transformation.

History
Gateway Rescue Mission was founded by Captain Len Martin of the Jackson Fire Department in 1948. Captain Martin was compelled to help the homeless, and Gateway Rescue Mission remains faithful to the charge of helping the homeless. Offering hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Gateway Rescue Mission is committed to providing those in need with shelter, food, clothing, and rehabilitation.
Program accomplishments
On any given night 100 people are off the streets and in safe shelter at a Gateway Rescue Mission facility. Our programs include 40 beds for men, 12 beds for women at Ruths Refuge, 52 beds for men struggling with addiction, and 3 meals a day to the homeless and hungry.
