Purpose

Ananias House exists to empower the growing body of Christ in the Middle East and North Africa through strategic leadership training and Gospel-centered resourcing. We recognized this need when the last decade of conflict and instability in the MENA region resulted in large numbers of people converting to Christianity. As a result, the region's churches have become gripped with significant challenges. Many church leaders have fled their countries for security and safety reasons, creating a spiritual leadership vacuum in the region. Our Strategic Leadership Training program directly addresses these challenges and helps churches strengthen their biblical foundation and Christian principles. Among those who have not been forced to flee, many have been displaced by war and violence. Ananias House partners with local churches to provide life's basic necessities to these families. Our Gospel-centered resourcing also addresses longterm needs, such as supporting student education and equipping the local church so it can better serve the community.

Mission statement

We equip Christians in the Middle East and North Africa with strategic leadership training and Gospel-centered resourcing to help the Church be a place for restoration, healing, and hope.

History

Ananias House was born after its founder witnessed firsthand the devastation the conflict in the Middle East had on his homeland, as well as the miraculous power of God in the lives of Christians caught in the crossfire. Through this darkness, he saw the light of God's children proclaiming the Gospel: churches in the Middle East, though persecuted and left with few resources, were often the first line of care for people seeking refuge and truth.

Many Christians in the West wonder what they can do to stand with the persecuted Church in other parts of the world. Ananias House provides an avenue through which they can engage in the work the Lord is doing in the greater Middle East and North Africa - also known as the MENA region - by working directly with local churches and Christian leaders. We provide prayer, advocacy, strategic leadership training, Gospel-centered resourcing, and financial support to meet practical needs. Through these endeavors, we seek to preserve the rich Christian heritage of biblical times and, in the face of despair, proclaim the hope of Jesus Christ to all people, for it is often in the darkest of times that the power of God is most clearly evident.
