History
Navajo Ministries (NM) was founded in 1953 by Jack Drake in a borrowed tent on the western edge of Farmington, New Mexico. NM has become a diverse ministry reaching out to those who are hurting in the Four Corners area. Jim Baker now serves as president since 1987. Its goal is to be a servant to people in need - the Navajo. Food, clothing, and Bibles are distributed to many on the reservation. In addition, Navajo Minstries provides reservation ministry, discipleship training, and marriage seminars. NN provides support to train Navajo people in their own language. Vacation Bible Schools are held in the summer with tent meetings and revivals. Navajo Missions is located just east of the Navajo reservation in Farmington, New Mexico.
