YUGO Ministries

Summary
Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach, Inc. ("YUGO") is an inter-denominational mission organization whose primary purpose is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ by involving young people and adults in foreign missions through a ministry of evangelism and teaching in Mexico. YUGO is also the Spanish word for "yoke," a reminder of the One who said "Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me" (Matt 11:29). YUGO began in the late 1950's and was incorporated as a non-profit evangelistic organization in 1965. Today, YUGO's most visible ministry is the participation of over 2700 North Americans (primarily teenagers) each year on evangelistic outreaches in Mexico. Mexicans who receive Christ as a result of this ministry are then discipled through the ministry's church planting efforts. YUGO is also involved in the establishing of Bible Institutes that train Mexican pastors. This organization is a nonprofit. Contributions to it are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. It is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

YUGO has 3 primary goals:

Statement of faith
Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach, Inc.'s Statement of Faith is
1. We believe in the Bible as the divinely inspired, authoritative Word of God without error in the original manuscripts. (2 Tim 3:16)
2. We believe in the triune Godhead in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, executing distinct but harmonious offices in the works of creation, providence and redemption. (Mark 12:29) (Hebrews 1:1-3)
3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, death, bodily resurrection, present exaltation at the Father's right hand, and His coming again. (Luke 1:30-35) (John 1:29) (John20:20) (Ephesians 1:22-23) (Philippians 3:20)
4. We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates, baptizes, seals and indwells all true Believers. (John 14:16-17)(John 16:7-15)
5. We believe in the personality of Satan and his present control over unregenerate man. (Ephesians 2:2) (Job 1:6-7)
6. We believe in the fallen and lost estate of man, whose depravity makes necessary his new birth. (1 Timothy 5:6) (Romans 3:10-19)
7. We believe in the reconciliation of man to God through faith in the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior. (John 5:24) (Acts 13:39) (Romans 5:1)
8. We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life and blessedness in Heaven, and the resurrection of the unsaved unto everlasting punishment in Hell. (1 Corinthians15:51-52) (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)
9. We believe in the Church, the indivisible body of Christ bound together by the Holy Spirit, consisting only of those who are born again, for whom He now makes intercession in Heaven and for whom He will come again. (Matthew 16:16-18) (Acts 2:42-47) (1 Corinthians 12:13)
10. We believe in Christ's Great Commission to the Church to go into all the world, be His witnesses (Acts 1:8), and make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching those who believe. (Matthew 28:18-19)
11. After prayer and consideration the leadership of YUGO ministries has decided not to address in this doctrinal statement, various divisive doctrinal issues within the Evangelical community of Believers. Our goal in doing this is to "dwell in unity" (Psalm 133:1) with our brothers in the body of Christ, while never compromising the Gospel. (Romans 1:16)

History
YUGO began in the late 1950's and was incorporated as a non-profit evangelistic organization in 1965. Today, YUGO's most visible ministry is the participation of over 2700 North Americans (primarily teenagers) each year on evangelistic outreaches in Mexico. Since 1964, thousands of young people and adults have experienced the challenge of cross-cultural ministry through YUGO's outreach opportunities.
Program accomplishments
YUGO is a missions oriented organization that has as its focus the building up of the local church in Mexico. Approximately 2500-3000 youth and advisors take YUGO mission trips each year. There are an average of 2800 people each year that give their life to Christ. Numerous currently active missionaries received their start by participating as youth on YUGO mission trips.
Needs
We need church planters, Bible Institute teachers, office staff, Sunday School curriculum developers, Christian Education trainers, graphic arts specialists, film evangelists, and construction ministry coordinators. We are also looking for people with education and experience in youth ministry, camp ministry and church administration.
Due to our relatively small size, YUGO's corporate culture allows for a fair amount of flexibility and innovation. Of course, all of these positions are faith-supported, meaning you will be responsible for raising your own support.
