Mexican Medical, Inc. ("MMI") was founded in 1963 by Loren Long to serve the people of Mexico by providing physical healing through medicine and spiritual healing through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. MMI stands alongside Mexican National healthcare professionals and pastors as they provide both low cost medical care and spiritual healing to their own people. In addition, MMI serve as a vehicle through which youth and adults from the United States and Canada gain a deeper awareness and appreciation of the needs of the people living in third world environments by means of a cross-cultural experience. American and Canadian physicians donate their services to help meet the needs of Mexicans. Donated medicines are given, free of charge, to patients who are unable to purchase them. MMI also assists other mission organizations by supplying medical supplies, equipment, medicine and clothing. MMI assists the national church in making the Gospel of Christ available to Mexican children. MMI also provides the opportunity to minister to residents of the dump yards in Tijuana, by passing out Bibles and sharing personal testimonies. This organization is a nonprofit. Contributions to it are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. It is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
